Stefano Manfredonia

Stefano Manfredonia is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the Gabelli School of Business, Fordham University, where he joined the faculty in September 2024. He earned his PhD in Economics and Finance from the University of Rome Tor Vergata and completed the graduate program at the Einaudi Institute for Economics and Finance (EIEF). His research interests lie in empirical corporate finance and banking.

In a new paper, Joseph Emmens, Dennis C. Hutschenreiter, Stefano Manfredonia, Felix Noth, and Tommaso Santini find that when competitors for the same pool of workers share investors, they increase their innovation to automate tasks and slow down hiring.
