Matthew Denes is an Assistant Professor of Finance at Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business. His research focuses on empirical corporate finance and its intersection with political economy, entrepreneurship, and venture capital. It has been published in leading academic journals, including the Journal of Finance and the Review of Financial Studies. He holds a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Washington.
