Joydeep Bhattacharya

Joydeep Bhattacharya is a Professor of Economics at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Cornell University. He works on various topics in macro-development, using general equilibrium, dynamic, and micro-founded macro models to study issues in development economics. His current interests are in public economics (esp. social security), demography, disease dynamics, macro-environment, and the economics of discrimination. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Plos One, and Macroeconomic Dynamics. He has held visiting positions at NUS, Singapore, Tilburg University, Holland, Copenhagen Business School, and the University of Aarhus, Denmark.
