Isabel Oakes is a PhD student in the faculty of history at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on the intellectual history of ordoliberalism, having written her master’s thesis on the epistemological link between Max Weber and ordoliberal thought. She is currently working on ordoliberal environmentalism and the implications this may have for climate policy in Germany and the EU.
