Giovanni Morzenti

Giovanni Morzenti is a PhD Candidate in Economics at Bocconi University. He works in the field of industrial organizations, and his research focuses on the effects of competition on innovation. He studies this policy-relevant issue empirically, exploiting changes in pre-merger notification rules. He also studies the impact of mergers on labor market outcomes, showing that market power can accentuate existing inequalities. Prior to pursuing his PhD, he worked in the Directorate General Competition of the European Commission.
