Toon Van Overbeke

Toon Van Overbeke is an assistant professor of Europe climate and digital society at Maastricht University. He is a political economist interested in understanding the interaction between politics, institutions, and structural socio-economic changes, such as automation and the climate transition. Van Overbeke is also a visiting fellow at London School of Economics and Political Science, where he received his PhD. He has worked as a consultant for the European Commission and European trade unions, and his work has been featured in various international outlets, such as Forbes Magazine.
