She is an applied microeconomist who specializes in the economics of education. Her research has appeared in outlets such as the Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Human Resources, and Economics of Education Review, and has been supported by organizations like the Russell Sage Foundation, the Spencer Foundation, and J-PAL North America. Currently, her research agenda focuses on how students choose whether, where, and what to study in college, including how increasing political polarization influences these decisions.
