Fabio De Pasquale

Fabio De Pasquale is an Italian prosecutor known for his leadership in prosecuting financial crime and grand corruption. In the course of several high profile cases, he also dealt with points of law as the constitutionality of temporary immunity of highest officials of the state and the applicability to corporations of coercive measures in case of foreign bribery. He investigated and successfully prosecuted two former Italian prime ministers: Bettino Craxi for corruption in the ‘90s and Silvio Berlusconi for tax fraud in 2012. In recent years, De Pasquale led the investigation and prosecution related to OPL 245, a bribery case concerning a Nigerian Oil Prospecting License awarded to Shell and Eni.
