David Krause

David Krause is an Emeritus Associate Professor of Finance in the College of Business Administration at Marquette University. He is the founding director of the university’s nationally recognized Applied Investment Management (AIM) program. In addition to his academic role, Krause brings extensive practical experience to the classroom, teaching courses in investments and financial technology (FinTech). His expertise is sought after by early-stage companies, which he advises on the strategic application of financial technology. He also provides governance and strategic insight through his service on a variety of foundation, corporate, and charitable boards. Before joining Marquette, Krause was a successful entrepreneur, co-founding and managing multiple ventures in the manufacturing, healthcare, medical device, and financial services sectors. He holds a BBA, MBA, and a Ph.D., all with a concentration in finance. His academic focus encompasses investments, economics, statistics, and financial technology. A published author, his work has appeared in numerous academic journals and trade publications.
