Claudia Biancotti

Claudia Biancotti is a Director at the Bank of Italy. She currently serves as research advisor to the Head of Information Technology. Her latest work focuses on cryptoassets, AI safety, and cybersecurity. Previously, she worked in the Economic Research Department, where she also followed Italian participation in the G7 and G20 finance tracks. In 2018-2019, she was a Visiting Fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics in Washington, DC. She earned her MSc in Econometrics and Mathematical Economics (London School of Economics) in 2001, and her PhD in European Economic Studies (Università di Torino) in 2005.
