Annika Stöhr is a postdoctoral researcher at the Chair of Economic Theory at Technische Universität Ilmenau (Germany). After studying media economics, she completed her PhD on “Economic Evaluation and Reform Implications of German Competition Policy,” focusing on merger control and, in particular, the role of non-economic effects and public interests in competition regulation. Working at the intersection of competition economics, competition law, and competition policy, in addition to her ongoing research on merger control, Annika’s recent work examines regulatory challenges in large digital platforms. Annika has over two years' professional experience working at the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action, which informs her research. In addition to publishing in economics and law journals, Annika is an active member of several academic associations and has extensive teaching experience.
